For THE LOVE OF FARM LIFe
“I am not a specialist in any area. I can promise you I will work hard, talk to you like an equal, and be honest in all medical recommendations.“

Katelyn Menacho, DVM
Katelyn Menacho, DVM, owner of Oak Hammock Large Animal Veterinary Services, was raised in Central Florida. Her love for livestock started with showing horses as a child and expanded to beef cattle production while studying animal science at the University of Florida.
She graduated in 2018 with her doctorate in veterinary medicine and certificate in Food Animal Production at the University of Florida. Then she spent the next year in Kansas as a mixed animal veterinarian focusing on beef cattle and ranch horses. In 2020, Dr. Menacho opened Oak Hammock Large Animal Veterinary Services. Word traveled fast about her skills treating small ruminants and her relatable, easy to talk to demeanor. In 2021, she was nominated an Emerging Leader of the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioner. Becoming a human Mom has also now combined two of her great passions: raising her kids on a farm and being a large animal veterinarian.
When she is not working, Dr. Menacho enjoys being on a boat, working out and hanging out on their small farm with her husband and 2 children.
